Jin Shin Jyutsu
Ancient Japanese Hands-on Healing Art
Jin - person of Compassion
Shin - Creator or Spirit
Jyutsu - Art
Harmonizing Art
This ancient healing art works on a deeply profound level
to revitalize and harmonize body, mind and spirit. Documented
more than 1,200 years ago in the Imperial Palace archives
of Japan, this ancient art reminds us that the simplest tools
to help us regain harmony and balance are our hands and breath.
Jin Shin Jyutsu harmonizes all bodily systems - endocrine, immune, nervous, digestive and so forth by simply addressing the underlying source, which is the flow of energy that supplies life force to all these sytems.
Vital Energy
Vital energy circulates freely through our body along specific
pathways to regulate and nourish all body organs, systems
and tissues. When these pathways become congested due to stressful
emotions, harmful living habits, digestive stress, injury
or trauma, we can experience a lack of energy, discomfort,
pain and illness.
‘Safety
Energy Locks’
Jin Shin Jyutsu employs 26 ‘Safety Energy Locks”
(SELs) along primary energy pathways that carry the vital
life force through our bodies.
These areas “lock” to let us
know on what level and how the energy is blocked as well as
how we may harmonize the flows.
Release Stress
& Tension
During a session, areas along these pathways are held in a
particular sequence. The sequence of flow patterns release
tension, stress and trauma by gently dispersing energy blockages
and harmonizing the energy flow through the meridians. This
allows us to experience deep relaxation, inner peace and facilitates
our ability to receive optimal health and well-being.
Self-Help Classes
In Jin Shin Jyutsu, there are no problems and no labels, only projects. There are many self-help tools available so that we can apply the art of Jin Shin Jyutsu to ourselves on a regular basis. During your session, Suzanne may recommend self-help patterns you can do at home to help your specific area of need.
Suzanne also offers Jin Shin Jyutsu self-help classes, for those who would like to learn more about the Art, including the 26 Safety Energy Locks, their location and application.
Self-Help classes are usually 2 to 3 days in length. During
this time you will learn:
• Hands-on application and philosophy of this ancient
healing art.
• Self-help patterns to release daily tension and stress.
• Awareness of 26 points (called safety energy locks)
and how to use them to release specific ailments, stress and
tensions.
Mary Burmeister
Mary Burmeister brought the healing art of Jin Shin Jyutsu
to America from Japan. As a young woman, she met Master Jiro
Murai, who asked if she would take something to America for
him. She replied, “Yes!” little realizing at the
time the implications of his request.
Mary taught Jin Shin Jyutsu classes for many
years and is now retired. Her students carry on her teaching
work, offering classes in the Art.
There are practitioners of Jin Shin Jyutsu all over the world.
Suzanne E Sky,
